When we started CGWire we were looking for open-source technologies to go faster to build CG pipelines. We found numerous of them but it took us a lot of time and we didn’t have a central repository to share them.
At the same time we noticed that in the world of stoftware engineering, it’s a common practice to build “awesome” lists of technologies and resources related to a field. Those lists are parcitpative, everyone can contribute by bringing its additions. It makes things easier for everyone: users can find resources easily and authors can reference their work.
It was obvious to us that it was a missing part of the CG world. So, we decided to create an awesome list of free and open source technologies related to CG pipeline.
